Video conferencing leaders BCS Global and Video Guidance combine to form Pinnaca, a new brand positioned for global growth in an explosive industry.
Andrew Davis of Wainhouse Research interviews Clive Sawkins and Mike Werch of Pinnaca on the process of developing the new brand.
Last year, London-based BCS Global Networks merged with Minnesota-based Video Guidance. Today the new company announced it has been renamed Pinnaca.
Pinnaca combines the sales and operations of two industry leaders in visual communications, creating a formidable global service provider that links BCS Global’s capabilities in Europe and Asia with Video Guidance’s capabilities in North America.
With more than 125 employees, Pinnaca will retain its corporate headquarters in Berkshire, UK as well as its North American sales and operations headquarters in Bloomington, Minn. The company also has regional offices in New York, Toronto, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong and throughout the U.S. The merged company extends its geographic reach, bringing new, ever-changing technologies to a worldwide marketplace.
What's in a Name?
The name Pinnaca aims to help the company remain at the pinnacle of the new wave of multi-media technology and revolutionary applications in an explosive industry.
“Our Pinnaca brand allows us to build on the synergy of both companies and continue to remain a global leader in visual communications and collaboration,” said Clive Sawkins, Pinnaca CEO. “The new name not only synchronizes our current brands in U.S. and international markets, Pinnaca also provides a compatible, broad scale for growth that extends to all corners of our multinational industry.”
The privately held, independent company is highly regarded for its managed and cloud-based conferencing solutions, bringing visual communications to every boardroom, desktop and mobile device, making visual collaboration an easy-to-use business productivity tool for any enterprise across the globe.
“Pinnaca leverages our experienced and talented human resources to maximize our long-standing customer relationships and industry partnerships,” said Michael Werch, president of Pinnaca North America. “We believe Pinnaca strengthens our global positioning as we continue to add new innovative services to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
Pinnaca will soon announce new marketing initiatives focused on video contact centers and intelligent workplaces for the future, which will provide access to even greater integrated and comprehensive solutions and services, in turn optimizing the company’s broad industry presence.
