Is your Unified Communications estate a mess?

We've seen it happen from our largest to our smallest customers, changes in workplace staff numbers to office space layouts often carry consequences beyond the personal level, affecting infrastructure and day-to-day business operations.


Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) tools are not immune to these changes. Often there is a need that takes priority, a team assigned to resource the need and, hopefully, fulfill the need. Alas, those teams break up and move on, leadership takes a new direction, and even technology moves forward. Now, what was once the perfect system, is a system left in need of another round of updates. Before you know it your business's communication tools can become oversaturated with different options, technologies and suppliers.

Do you actually know what is going on in your UC&C estate?

How many solutions do you currently use? Is there a huge assortment of different technologies in disarray across your estate?


Did you originally resource it?

This might seem like an odd thing to consider, but what was the original need for your UC&C solution, and has this changed since you became responsible for it? It may be that the tools you're using are not the best solution in the market for you.

An important precedent we've seen of late is the requirement for secure handling of media and communication tools. Is your current solution cyber-secure?


Is your entire estate interoperable?

Often a case we see in larger organizations, one office location may be using one system, while others using another. If your communication tool cannot communicate effortlessly, then they're not fit for purpose!

Another example of this may be interoperability between your staff and your clients. Is it as easy as it should be to collaborate with clients or does your business fall into endless connection and efficiency issues?


Is your technology up-to-date?... Also, do you have a method to KEEP it up-to-date?

Do you have the latest tools available in the market at the moment and do you have a way to easily get them adopted across your companies infrastructure?
